The Jauntee is an adventure. Their live music performances take you on a journey. Every musician in this huge sounding 4 piece is extra talented with their own character. Every music lover and musicians dream is how I describe them.
Live in the Music first encountered The Jauntee in Asheville, NC at Jack of the Woods. I just finished videographing Shane Cooley and we were just hanging out. It was a Tuesday night, we didn’t expect anything great to happen this late on an off night. Then this band from Boston came in and started setting up.
At first they were great but over time their energy started to undulate more and more into fluid sonic waves rendering everyone hypnotized. The Jauntee is the zone, they create the zone for the audience to swim in and then take you on a smooth ride.
Their sound to me is like a collage of Phish, meets Primus, meets Grateful Dead, meets King Crimson. You couldn’t ask for more dedicated musicians. The Jauntee tours regularly to share their brilliance via live jams in venues across America and soon beyond. They’re perfect for festivals or huge event, but you may catch them performing in virtually any size venue.

I love these guys, and EVERYONE that I’ve turned onto them LOVES their music and live shows! I couldn’t believe how much of what they’re doing is original! Definitely a must see band!
